The SD-1 requires SimHub software which is available from SimHubDash.com

A SimHub license is not required but is highly recommended as it will increase the refresh rate of the SD-1.*

If you are already familiar with SimHub and would like to configure it yourself, you won’t need any of the files below. Have fun creating a dash that is ideal for you!

If you don’t have any experience with SimHub, the files below will make it easy for you to get started without any manual configuration and will serve as a template to make tweaking it to your liking a little easier.

*Simmetrics is not affiliated with SimHub.

Install SimHub if you haven’t already and download the required files above.

Step 1(RGB LEDs):

  1. Open SimHub and click the arduino tab on the left

  2. On the top row, click the “RGB Leds” tab

  3. Click “Profiles Manager”

  4. Click “Import profile”

  5. Select the file you just downloaded titled “Simmetrics_SD-1_RGBLED.ledsprofile

  6. Click “Load”

Step 2(Matrix):

  1. On the top row, click the “RGB Matrix” tab

  2. Click “Profiles Manager”

  3. Click “Import profile”

  4. Select the file you just downloaded titled “Simmetrics_SD-1_RGBMATRIX.ledsprofile

  5. Click “Load”

Step 3(6-digit, 7-segment displays):

READ FIRST - This step is optional but might make setting up the six-digit displays easier for beginners. We suggest looking at the default “Screens” tab first and familiarizing yourself with the layout. This is really intended as a simpler replacement for the default “Screens” tab configuration. If you are overwhelmed by the default Screens tab and can’t figure out how it works, you might want to try this method. However, you will be replacing a configuration file that will return some other SimHub settings to their default settings as well. This step is not recommended for advanced users that already have existing SimHub configurations for other Arduino or serial-based hardware as it may reset some settings for that hardware.

  1. SimHub must not be running during this step. If SimHub is running, close it

  2. Open file explorer and navigate to your SimHub install directory

  3. Locate the file titled “<simhub_install_directory>\PluginsData\Common\SerialDashPlugin.json"

  4. You are going to replace this file with the one you just downloaded with the same name. However, we suggest renaming the original file and keeping it so you can always go back to it if you need to. Rename it to “SerialDashPluginBackup.json”

  5. Copy the new file that you just downloaded(SerialDashPlugin.json) to the same directory

  6. Open SimHub and you should see the new configuration in the Arduino>Screens tab
